Calculating the Square Meterage Required

For square or rectangular areas (e.g., walls and ceilings): Measure the length and height (for walls) or width and length (for ceilings), then multiply these measurements to get the area in square metres.
Example: A wall 6m long and 3m high would require 18 square metres of cladding (6 x 3 = 18).
For gable areas: Measure the length of the barge boards and the height, multiply these together, and divide by two.
Example: A gable with 5m barge boards and 5m height would need 12.5 square metres of cladding (5 x 5 = 25; 25 / 2 = 12.5).

Allowance for Cuts and Waste

To avoid running out of materials mid-project, we recommend adding an extra 10% to your total material calculation to account for cuts and waste.

Example: If you calculate a need for 30 lengths of cladding, order 33 lengths (30 x 1.1 = 33).

This ensures you have enough material to complete the job without interruptions.
