Fascia brackets are not required for all gutter fittings, but some do need additional support to prevent sagging. Here's a breakdown of when and where to use fascia brackets:
Gutter Angles and Stop Ends
These fittings must be supported by a fascia bracket positioned within 150mm (6 inches) of the fitting.
For gutter angles, install a fascia bracket on each side of the corner, within 150mm of the angle, to prevent sagging. The only exception is if there is a short run of gutter on either side of the angle.
Outlets and Unions:
Running outlets, stopend outlets, and gutter unions feature integral fixing lugs that allow direct attachment to the fascia board, so no additional fascia brackets are necessary for these fittings.
Supporting Downpipe Fittings:
By following these guidelines, you ensure that your system remains securely supported, minimizing sagging and ensuring optimal performance.
