What thickness should I choose for my sheet?

The thickness depends on the surface you’re covering:

1.5mm thick: Ideal for smooth, flat surfaces like plasterboard.
2mm thick: Recommended for walls with a slight texture, such as breeze block or tiled walls.
2.5mm thick: Best for walls that are consistently uneven, like uneven brickwork.
3mm thick: Suitable for very uneven walls or when fitting to timber framework.

Are the sheets fire rated?

Yes, the sheets are made from PVC, a self-extinguishing fire retardant material, and are rated as: V-0 (UL94) BS 476 Part 6 Class 1 BS 476 Part 7

What should I use to cut the sheets, and how easy is it?

A jigsaw can be used to cut the sheets. Be sure to hold the sheet firmly while cutting to prevent vibration that could cause breakage.

Can the sheet be used outdoors?

No, the sheets are primarily designed for indoor use as they are not UV stable and can degrade in direct sunlight.

What finish is on the sheets?

We offer satin and gloss finishes, both of which have a wipe-clean surface for easy cleaning and maintenance.

How flexible are the sheets?

The thinner the sheet, the more flexible it will be. However, all thicknesses can be curved around shallow corners.

Can I use it in a kitchen?

Yes, hygienic wall cladding is perfect for kitchen applications, but not behind a hob.
