112mm Half Round Anthracite Grey Gutter 2m
Made by the UK market leaders FloPlast, our half round gutter system measures 112mm across the top and is 52mm deep. Despite the huge choice in gutter designs these days, half round is still our most popular option. With its traditional appearance, and simple yet efficient functionality.
Our guttering comes in 2m and 4m lengths - most people choose the 4m option as it reduces the need for additional joiners.

Installation
1. Position the running outlet accurately by holding a plumb line against the fascia directly over the drain. Mark the position on the fascia with a pencil. Fit the outlet no more than 50mm below the level of the roof tiles. Fix with 2 x 25mm x 5mm round-head stainless steel screws (don’t use countersunk screws as these can be over torqued with cordless drivers and damage mouldings)
2. Fit a fascia bracket just below the top of the fascia board at one end of the run of guttering (opposite end to the outlet).
3. Tie a plumb line (string) around the base of the bracket and stretch the plumb line from the bracket along the fascia board and tie it to the outlet.
4. Check that there is a fall towards the outlet (1.350 is recommended) to encourage water to drain efficiently.
5. Mark the position of the fascia brackets, spacing them according to gutter system chosen (see table above) and no more than 150mm from any corner, union, running outlet or stopend.
6. In locations where heavy snowfall is common it is recommended that fixing centres for fascia brackets is reduced to 600mm.
7. Fix the fascia brackets with 25mm x 5mm stainless steel screws – we would recommend using all available fixing holes.
8. Starting at the outlet, fit the first length of gutter by tilting the gutter to fit under the back clip and clip in at the front edge.
9. Fit a union bracket at the other end of the first length and screw it into the fascia using all available fixing holes, then fit the next length of gutter into it. Continue joining lengths ensuring all joints line up with the “fit to here” depth marked in the fittings.
10. Cut the last section of gutter to fit using a hacksaw and fit a stopend.

Returning an item – Damaged
In the event you receive damaged goods we will arrange a replacement item for you. However, it is your responsibility to notify us within 72 hours of receipt that an item has been received damaged (please see risk below).
Returning an item – Risk
On receipt of the delivery you, the customer, are responsible for those goods and any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk.
Returning an item – Incorrect
If you receive incorrect goods it is your responsibility to notify us within 72 hours of receipt at which point we will make the necessary arrangements.
Delivery shortages
Firstly, our carrier delivers parcels/packages. Any shortages of them must be reported to the driver on receipt. Secondly, shortages of contents of the parcel(s)/package(s) against the enclosed Brissco advice note must be made within 72 hours.

How far apart should fascia brackets be fixed?
The spacings for each system are as follows:
- Half Round, Square, Deepflow and Mini Gutters - Brackets at 1m centres
- Ogee Gutters - Brackets at 800mm centres
- Xtraflo Industrial Gutters - Brackets at 600mm centres
Brackets should be fitted using two 5mm x 25mm screws (1 x 10). Screws can be either round head or countersunk.
Do I need a fascia bracket on either side of a fitting?
The only fittings that need to be supported by a fascia bracket are gutter angles and stop ends. These should be supported by a bracket positioned within 150mm (6) of the fitting.
Do I need to use silicone sealant on PVC gutter joints?
No, the joint is sealed by the small rubber strip that is contained within all gutter unions, outlets, angles and stop ends. As the gutter is clipped in place, the downward pressure applied by the fascia brackets forces the gutter down on to the seal, compressing it to create a watertight joint.
How does the downpipe connect to the guttering?
As with all of our Gutter systems, the downpipe pushes directly onto the bottom of the Running Outlet or Stopend Outlet - no other connector is required. No adhesive or sealant is needed to make the joint but we recommend that you should always support any downpipe with a pipe clip within 200mm of the outlet.
How far into the gutter should roof tiles project?
The bottom tile or slate of the roof covering should project at least half way into the gutter - the ideal distance is between half way and two thirds of the way over. The reason for this is that whenever rain runs down any type of roof, when it gets to the lower edge it clings to the tile or slate by capilliary action - this means that the water actually runs around the bottom edge and slightlly back up the rear of the tile before gravity allows it to drop into the gutter. If the bottom course of tiles or slates only just projects into the gutter there is a real danger that rainwater will fall behind the gutter, leading to damp roof timbers or brickwork.
