Extend tiling battens 30mm beyond the gable wall or bargeboard
Fix one batten end bracket to the end of every batten
Secure using a minimum 40mm x 3.25mm ring shank nail

Refurbishment

Remove existing mortar from the verge
Run a suitable batten from eaves to ridge, either:
- Below the undercloak on the gable wall, or
- Directly fixed to the bargeboard
Fix batten end brackets to ensure a neat, secure dry verge installation
