The 6m Integrated Dry Fix Ridge Kit provides a convenient all-in-one mechanical fixing solution for installing ridge tiles without the need for traditional mortar. Designed for both new-build and retrofit roofing projects, the kit provides a secure, weather-resistant and ventilated ridge installation with everything required supplied in one pack.

Suitable for most slate, concrete and clay roof tiles, the system can be used with both round and angled ridge tiles up to 18mm thick. It is suitable for most pitched roofs between 15° and 55°, providing a versatile solution for a wide range of domestic and commercial roofing projects.

The system uses a water-resistant yet air-permeable ridge roll membrane, incorporating strong, malleable and corrosion-resistant aluminium flashing with a self-adhesive backing. This allows the roll to follow the contours of the roof tiles, helping provide effective weather protection while maintaining essential roof ventilation.

Providing 5000mm²/m of ridge ventilation, equivalent to a 5mm continuous opening, the system helps support roof-space airflow and condensation control. The 55mm wide ridge unions provide additional water-bar protection, while integrated clips securely accommodate ridge tiles up to 18mm thick.

Unlike traditional mortar bedding, the dry-fix system isn't affected in the same way by building settlement or mortar deterioration. The mechanical installation provides a long-lasting, reliable and virtually maintenance-free ridge, while allowing installation in a wider range of wet and cold weather conditions.

The kit incorporates UV-protected, colour-fast polypropylene ridge unions, galvanised steel ridge batten straps, stainless steel screws and clamping plates, providing durable components for long-term roof performance. The system also helps prevent larger insects, birds and vermin from entering the roofline while maintaining a consistently smart finished appearance.

Professional Finish Without the Mortar

We used this 6m dry ridge kit as part of a roof refurbishment and were very pleased with the result. It provides a clean mechanical fixing for the ridge tiles and avoids the cracking and maintenance issues we'd experienced with the old mortar. The aluminium flashing was easy to shape around the tile contours and bonded down well, while the ridge unions and clips produced a secure, consistent finish along the roof. The built-in ventilation is a useful bonus too. Brissco were great to deal with throughout. They helped confirm the kit would work with our ridge tiles, had the materials ready promptly and provided excellent service. I'd happily buy the same system from them again.

Great Kit for Our Garage Roof

Bought this kit for a new tiled garage roof and it made finishing the ridge much simpler than I expected. The instructions were straightforward and having all the main components supplied as one system meant there was no concern about buying incompatible parts separately. The ridge tiles feel very secure and the black roll is discreet once installed. I particularly liked the fact that the system provides ventilation along the ridge while still protecting against rain getting into the roof.

Good Quality Dry Ridge System for Trade Use

We've fitted a number of dry ridge systems and this kit represents very good value. Everything required for a 6m installation is supplied together and the components feel well made. The ridge roll is flexible enough to follow the tile profile and the mechanical fixings give a solid finished installation. It's also useful having the continuous ventilation without compromising the weather protection of the ridge.

Much Better Than Re-Bedding Ridge Tiles in Mortar

Our old ridge mortar had started cracking and coming away, so we decided to replace it with a mechanical dry ridge system. This kit covered the full 6m run and was far easier to work with than mixing and bedding everything back onto mortar. The membrane follows the shape of the tiles well and the ridge tiles are held securely once everything is tightened down. Having ventilation built into the system is another big advantage.
