The Soudal Silirub 2 Irish Oak Silicone Sealant 300ml is a premium-quality, low modulus neutral cure silicone designed for professional building, glazing and general sealing applications. Supplied in an attractive Irish Oak colour, it is particularly well suited to installations where the sealant needs to complement Irish Oak window frames, doors, roofline products and other colour-matched building materials.

Manufactured from 100% silicone, Silirub 2 provides a flexible, durable and weather-resistant seal with no shrinkage. Its thick-bodied formulation offers excellent toolability, while the fast skinning and curing properties help provide an efficient, professional finish during installation.

Silirub 2 provides excellent primerless adhesion to many common construction materials, including glass, plastics, masonry substrates, metals and wood. Its high movement capability makes it particularly suitable for perimeter and expansion joints where materials may naturally expand and contract over time.

Once cured, the silicone offers excellent resistance to UV exposure, rain, snow and high or low temperatures, making it suitable for demanding interior and exterior applications throughout the year.

The versatile formulation makes Soudal Silirub 2 ideal for the perimeter sealing of window and door frames, roofline and drainage systems, aluminium glazing systems, curtain walling, façade panels and expansion joints. It can also be used for roofing seals involving lead and fibre cement, as well as HVAC ducting, pipework and drainage joints.

For glazing applications, Silirub 2 is suitable for use with most types of glass and can be used for bedding double-glazed sealed units in wet glazing applications. It is not suitable for self-cleaning glass.

Our Go-To Sealant for Irish Oak Installations

We now keep a few tubes of this in the van for Irish Oak window, door and roofline jobs. The colour is a great match and the silicone performs really well outdoors. We've used it on PVCu, masonry and around glazing with consistently good results. It's thick-bodied without being difficult to apply and tools to a nice smooth finish. Professional Finish Around Windows and Doors

We needed a neutral cure silicone for perimeter sealing around Irish Oak PVCu frames and this was perfect for the job. It adheres well to both the frames and surrounding building materials and remains flexible once cured. The Irish Oak colour is the main reason we chose it and we're very pleased with how well it blends in. It gives the installation a much cleaner appearance than using a contrasting sealant.

Quality Silicone and Easy to Work With

I've used Soudal products for years and Silirub 2 is one I always find reliable. Bought the Irish Oak version for sealing around a matching door and window installation and was very impressed with the finished result. It comes out of the tube smoothly, doesn't feel too runny and is easy to tool into a neat bead. The colour blends nicely with the frames and looks much better than a generic brown silicone.

Great Silicone for Irish Oak Roofline Work

We used several tubes of this while completing an Irish Oak fascia and roofline installation. The colour works really well with the boards and trims, especially around joints where you don't want a contrasting sealant to stand out. Excellent Colour Match for Irish Oak Windows

Used this Soudal Silirub 2 around our Irish Oak windows and the colour match is excellent. It looks so much better than using a standard clear or brown silicone and gives the installation a much more professional finish. The silicone is thick enough to control easily from the gun and tools off nicely. Once cured it stays flexible, which is exactly what we wanted around the window frames.
